The Father of The Ottoman 

The birth place of Ertugrul Gazi, who lived between 1188-1281, is not precisely known because no such record has been encountered. Ertugrul Gazi Tomb was built in the late 13th century yet the exact date of construction is still unknown. The tomb underwent a significant restoration, as if had been reconstructed, by Sultan III. Mustafa and diverged somewhat from the view that it was built first.

Pelitözü Gölpark 5 minutes away from Bilecik' s city center, is a scenic sightseeing stop which accomodates many visitors coming both from and out of the city.

A Rare Work

Hamidiye Mosque was built during the era of II. By Abdul Hamid Khan in 1907-1908 (H.1325). The structure is square-planned, walls are built of red ashlar and the big belt carried by a single dome covers the building. The dome is covered with lead. As the double minaret was built of ashlari it is remarkable.

The "pottery", which is making goods out of soil, has been extant for about a century in Kınık village in Pazaryeri county and has developed getting widespread.

Bilecik Museum is the right place if you want to go into Bileck' s history. Archeologial and ethnographical works of the Bilecik and the surrounding area are exhibited in the museum. Offering chronological exhibition technique, the halls include works dating back to the Paleolithic, Neolithic, Bronze, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman ages.

Besides, the scarves used in the movie Harry Potter, 300 Spartans and Troy were manufactured by skilled craftsmen from Gaziantep.

The most famous food of Gaziantep cuisine is baklava which is uniquely prepared with thin dough and adorned with pistachio...

To Live in a Colorful

AS PART OF THE DUMBO ARTS FESTIVAL IN NEW YORK CITY, THE PLEXIHOUSE PLACED AT THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK DRAWS A LOT OF ATTENTION BY THE CITIZENS.

Dumbo Arts Festival, one of the most important artistic events in New York, hosts a colorful house at the Brooklyn Bridge Park which draws all the attention from New Yorkers. The house designed by sculptor Tom Fruin is made up of hundreds of different colored plexiglass pieces. The radiant house that makes us feel as if we are in a Mondrian painting will later be exhibited in MoMa, one of New York’s most important museums.

The first D.U.M.B.O. Art Under the Bridge Festival took place in 1997 and quickly became one of New York’s most anticipated art events. Artists and musicians from all over New York brought work to DUMBO, presenting interactive sculpture, roving performances, video, and music. Even Dondi the elephant contributed paintings to the festival.

Bonifacio Şehri ve Bonifacio Boğazı

    Korsika Adası' nın güney ucundaki Bonifacio Şehri, Fransa' ya ait olan bu adayı İtalya' ya ait Sardinya Adası' ndan ayıran Bonifacio Boğazı' na ve Bonifacio Ağızları' na hakim, Ortaçağ' a ait tarifi eserlerin süslediği küçük ve güzel bir Akdeniz şehridir.

Bonifacio Şehri

    Bonifacio Boğazı' nın Korsika yakasındaki Bonifacio Yalıyarı, dünyanın doğa harikaları arasında sayılır. Korsika Adası' nın her tarafı sert granit kayalardan oluştuğu halde, adanın güney ucunda, deniz ve dalgaların etkisiyle aşınmış kalkerli kayalardan bir bölgenin bulunması çok şaşırtıcıdır.

    Bonifacio Kalesi ve daracık sokakları, tipik evleriyle dikkati üzerine toplayan eski şehir, denizden 65 metre yükseklikte dar bir çıkıntının üstünde yer alır.

    Deniz hiç durmadan bu kalkerli yalıyarın tabanını oyduğu için yapılardan bir kısmı suyun üstüne sarkmış gibi boşlukta kalmıştır... İnsan her an kayaların çöküvereceğini ve şehrin bir anda denizin mavi sularına gömülüvereceğini düşünmekten kendini alamaz... Hatta, yalıyarın "Kum Tanesi" denilen 100 tondan ağır bir parçası şimdiden dalgaların içinde kaybolmuştur bile.

Montmartre Tepesi, Paris

     Fransa' nın başkenti Paris' in en ünlü yerlerinden biri olan Montmartre Tepesi, bütün Paris ve dolaylarına hakimdir. Şehrin bu en yüksek noktasında, Sacré-Coeur Kilisesi bembeyaz yükselir ve ilginç köşeleriyle Montmartre semti sayısız turist çeker.

   Dolambaçlı yolları, daracık sokakları, merdivenleri, alçak evleri, bahçeleri ve ağaçlarıyla Montmartre, XX. Yüzyılın baş döndürücü temposunda ve Paris gibi büyük ve modern bir şehrin göbeğinde insanı şaşırtacak kadar sakin, tarihi bir köy havasındadır. Bugün hiç değiştirilmeksizin bu haliyle korunan Montmartre, Tertre meydanındaki yaşlı ağaçların gölgesine sehpalarını kuran ve köyün nefis manzaralarını tuvallerine aktaran ressamların barınağı haline gelmiştir.

    Tertre meydanında sık sık, turistlerin ilgiyle izledikleri şenlikler düzenlenir ve Montmartre' lı çocuklar, trampetleriyle katıldıkları bu şenliklere ayrı bir hava verirler.
    Bugün epey azalmış olan üzüm bağları, eskiden, sayısız yeldeğirmenlerinin süslediği Montmartre tepesinin her yanını kaplardı ve bağbozumu mevsiminde köy, en canlı günlerini yaşardı...

Üç boyutlu oynar başlık sayesindeyse normal bir fırçanın yapamayacağı kadar hareket edip, normalde ihmal ettiğimiz ulaşamadığımız yerlere bile ulaşıyor. Fırça başlıkları dişleri tamamen sararak birçok noktaya temas ediyor ve muhteşem sonuçlar almamı sağlıyor.
